with crower you can do 9,000 with no worries... question is will you be making power that high ?? so choose your route wisely

At the stock redline. Your rods will be seeing alot of stress if you take it above redline.

hmm then thats another story ..you will want to go to where ever your new cams make power to, so basically either 8 or 8.5 ..

Nope have fun revving. I'd go for a dyno pull and see at which rpm you quit making power.

also depends on what your rev limiter will let you go also why is it so important that you rev higher

i'm using a 7AL-2 with a soft touch rev limiter...so i have the option to raise it or lower it....reason i want to rev higher is that i don't want to end the 1/4 in 5th gear

are you doing anything to your head? P&P? some good turbo cams?

?also how much PSI you planning on boosting.

I dont think that the power curve will still go up. Even if you do all that stuff to your valvetrain, change your rev-limiter and find some way to add more fuel up to 9000 RPM.

You still have to deal with a bottle neck, the cylinder head and the camshafts. being able to rev to 9000-10000 RPM wont mean anything if you cant flow more air into the engine. Which is I guess where the Turbo comes into play, But I wonder how much you would benifit from a P&P...
