1994 Accord Tranny Swap
I just got a 1994 Accord Ex, an automatic... Im finding a lot of parts for it, but I want to get the tranny swapped to a 5 speed before I start putting money into the motor. I was wondering if anyone knew around what this might cost, and what new parts I would need to make it legit, (clutch, flywheel, etc...)
thanks
thanks

yeh maybe brand new and the odometer reads 0 miles, lol, you can find the motor, the tranny, and everything you need to put them in to your car for around 2.5-3k

i spent about 5-600 not including brand new cerametallic/kevlar clutch and hd pressure plate. you should get a new clutch, pp, master and slave cyl, and lightend flywheel or atleast a resurfaced one.
how much did u pay for the car? probably would have been cheaper to just gotten a 5spd instead of an auto.. but i dont know the whole situation on why u got a auto. Anyways u could probably just sell the auto for more then waht u payed.. and then find a honda with a 5spd.. *shrugs*

http://www.HAPRecycling.com sells a Complete 5spd swap for 1067 shipped.. Atleast when I bought mine. Comes with a 5spd Harness and ECU also.. 6 month warranty on the whole thing, and you can even get them to send you an H22 or H23 Trans. All you will need is a Clutch
thanks, thats lookin pretty good right about now. Im still not sure, Im 16 and only have 3 grand in the bank... Ive found a turbo kit, (garett turbo @ 5 psi) for 1800 bucks, Im finding a lot of parts for my model accord... BUT I want to get the tranny swapped first. And if I do that, it will take around if not all of the money I have, leaving no money for parts. So Im kinda stuck in a hole, of just putting **** on the auto, getting the 5 speed, or buying a different car. Ive wanted a prelude forever, an older Si, Im gonna go look at one tomorrow night... But I got the accord for free (when my friend died) and just cause of the sentimental value, etc. theres no way in hell Im selling it... So I might just have to keep working and get more money and go from there...
