Default H23 Vtec. Clearance Issues with Big Cams?

I have a H22 in my car right now. I got a H23 block in my garage. I was thinking about putting my H22 head on that block. But I know when you do a ls/ vtec, you cant run big cams unless you change to a piston with a bigger valve releif. Like a vtec piston. Is it the same thing when doing a H23 vtec. Because I have Skunk 2 stage 2 cams. Also the chambers on my head are welded.

I really dont mind putting the H22 pistons in the H23 block, but I dont want to end up with some 13 compression or something.

^ You wont' end up with 13:1 compression. Someone posted up what all the compression ratios would be. jdm h22a pistons i believe came out to aroun 11.5, and the type s were alittle over 12.0. CC your cyclinder head so you can find out what your compression ratio will be.
