I've read previous topics of people paying around $1500, but is that painted?. Aprox. how many hours for to install it? My front end is all crushed so I figure now is a good time to go with the front end.

 

It is a lot of work. $3000 for a kit and another $2000 for good paint and install.

 

you can always put the front end on yourself in one weekend and leave it like this

When new, no they don't. Man, that black and white sure looks weird. Not sure who in the right mind will want to drive around in that thing. Not sure what to call that guy, cheap or ....?? Spend all that money modding his car and totally mess it up at the end. How people do thing, I just don't understand sometimes.

 

I used to not understand but now I do. Sometimes you just don't have the time or money to get it painted yet.

 

i've seen your teg around! was that pic taken in back of el torrito or kinkos? on hawthorn blvd? i live like 1 block from there!

Then don't put it on.. You can always make more money and do it right.

The only thing that came painted on mine was the grill all the rest was black if I remember correctly. It's not that much work all is bolt on except for radiator support, it's weld in part.

 

did you weld the radiator support yourself?

 

You are looking at $2000+ for good paint/install..

 

No I had one of my technicians do it.

 

The Front bumper cover comes painted along with the grille too. But it never matches up right, so it's better to have them painted. I paid $3000 for installaion and paint. On the 97's, we've experienced more work when the A/C is involded when you install HID's. We had to reroute the driver's side A/C line and notch part of the ABS bracket. Custom harnesses were made for the lights. I paid a lot compared to others, but you will never hear me complain on the quality of work done!!

hehe not as bad as my two toned car

 

i've thought about painting mine to look like a cop. heh! or snow camo, that would be hard as hell to see on the freeways. no really though, black yellow and white! that's jet-o!

 

hey at least he can see what the car looks like in either color! Now he will have a much better idea what to paint the rest of the car! I say white... it looks better with the rims.

Ok...that's just stupid. Cause he should have gotten it painted while it was not on the car. It would have been so cheap compared to getting the stuff painted now that it is installed.

 

When it's on the car it's probably easier to color match with the rest of the paint.
