Exhaust valve seals VS. intake valve seals.
Do the exhaust and intake valve seals differ? I know they have different color springs, but I wanna know if the exhaust ones will work on the intake side and vice versa. Apparantly the brown top ones are intake and green top ones are exhaust, but after I installed a few of them, I realized that I had both green and brown top ones with both black and white springs.
I know that black springs=exhaust and white springs=intake, but do they really differ?

I don't think so.
The exhaust will work on the intake side, but not the other way around.
The stem of the intake valve is thicker than the exhaust valve.
So if you put a intake valve seal on the exhaust side, it will leak over time.
Check for yourself in the 94 Helms. Page 129 of 1413 in acrobat or 6-68 if you bought the manual.
You might be able to get away with it, but why risk it?
