Price of ITR Floor Mats
I just called 2 dealers for ITR floor mats - for 2001 model - to replace my stolen ones. One told me $130. Another one told me $243. What's up with the discrepancy? Anyone here ordered some OEM mats before? What's a reasonable price to pay?
This is fact…. I just went through this. Acura gave the wrong part number out to the dealerships on 2001 Type-R mats. They are shown as an accessory part only, and not available. This is an error that has to be corrected, so tell your dealership to call the mothership and get the right number. Your price is sill going o be up thee though.
I've seen them on sell on Ebay, and no not the ones taht are all red with a metal plaque that says Type R on them tha ones that the drivers side has the big "Integra Type R logo" . I actually bought a set to replace my beat up ones and they look exactly the same.I am not sure if they are original, never thought of checking but I can check when I get home and let you guys know. I payed $45.

I bought mine from http://ahmotor.com
they were much cheaper there than buying from the local dealer.

Here's the scoop!
I purchased some new Type R floor mats a few weeks ago so I've already done the research. There are two different Acura Type R floor mats. There are the "accessory" graphite Type R mats and the standard black mats that are standard equipment on 2001 Type R's. Acura dealerships sell the accessory Type R (graphite color) mats for about $130, like Cal_Ripcurl stated above. And then to replace or buy the standard black Type R mats it costs OVER $200 through the Acura dealership. I don't really understand why this is the case since the quality/thinkness of the accessory mats seem superior.
Anyhow, if you want the lowest price for either mats visit http://www.ahmotor.com They have fantastic prices on all kinds of OEM and non OEM stuff. They sell the accessory mats for about $93, so you save almost $40

Thanks for all the info guys. Are black mats standard on all black ITRs?? I got gray ones when I bought my car last year (??). I thought grays were the standard issue mats... since I had never seen black ones. Guess I gotta get myself to more car meets (smirk)! Wonder if my dealer pulled a fast one on me.
I called re-contacted the dealer with $130 estimate. He told me that the $130 was for the 98 models and that he doesn't have 2001s - though he thinks they are pretty much the same thing. He didn't sound like he cared too much since he mentioned that mats are not important. I'll wait till I get new ones from my dealer to see the difference. Anyhow, the insurance covers this one due to theft. I was just confused by the price differences.
Thx for all ur input.
