not really, let's see the part and we'll start from there.
i think ultimately you need a drill a hole to mount the pole.
imho, it's a good show item if you are into that show business, but it just plain stupid and useless unless you live in some motorized multilevel urban garage in Manhattan. But that just me

even then what is the point and how does it help? always wondered that

its realy only helpful on really large cars....
the other problem is that people get mounting directions from honda of japan...and then they put it on the drivers side...which is pointless

Is this just another word for the curb feeler things I used to see sticking out the rear fenders on cars. They would have the chrome mud guards too, and the chrome visors too. Thought that went out of style with sidepipes. Man those things could seriously burn you leg (won't forget sidepipes). People do the craziest things with their cars.
JDM is now getting out of hand.
Seriously in order to actually have that functioning the way its supposed to be is when you live in an area with horrible bumper to bumper parking other than that its just a show piece or useless on your car.

although i agree they are ridiculous, its not a curb feeler. the idea of a bumper pole is to point upwards from the edge of the bumper on the passengers side. the theory is that the pole give you an idea of how far your bumper is projecting, thusly making marking easier (people say for parallel parking....i dont see how that would help...woould be more effectivley used if parking in a parralel grid (aka like at a mall parking lot w/o 1 way/slanted lanes)
unfortnatley, this retard, like many others, installed it on the drivers side

so does anyone know how to do it or not. no one really answered my question. iam puttin mine on the pass side. it always goes on the pass side no matter what side your driving on. and yes its for show, dont really have a need for it in the US. major points at car shows though.

Am I the only one that sees the irony of the gouge in the bumper directly in front of the bumper pole?

I dont see how that will get u extra major points at a car show.. I have been to many car shows and the winners never have those things. Infact i have never heard of those until just now.
thats prollly why they want it... it so rare... even tho it looks funny, its something a lot of ppl in amrerican have nevr seen or heard of
Definitely odd that the pic shows it on the drivers side (unless it truly is JDM and right hand drive)? Short of exiting out the trunk what's the point. Doesn't even look like the thing is worth a damn seeing as how he has a huge ugly paint scrape right underneath it!!! Learn how to drive with your mirrors and raise your seat up. At a car show I'd give you points for being one of a kind...definitely not style!
