So...I wanna go turbo.
So I've decided to turbo my SOHC ZC powered civic. What major parts I need to make this a cheap setup. I don't wanna boost more then 6-7 pounds. I already have access to a small turbo. Could I use D16Y8 exhaust manifold and make a flange and mount a turbo. I'll need an intercooler and piping with the BOV. I'll also need to get better fuel pump/injectors.
Any help? Prelude injectors good enough? Stock fuel rail good enough? Any other parts I'm missing. I wanna see around 125whp on a daily basis in my civic.

The cheapest route you can do..
HF/88-89 std manifold/w adpater plate
Intercooler from junkyard(saab,volvo,dsm,etc..)
Bosch bov or ebay bov(Can be had new for like $20-$30)
If you only want 125whp you dont need bigger injectors or fuel pump.
you can run a turboedit program(free software)
You also need ,downpipe, intercooler piping, oil feed and return lines, good couplers,etc..
To be honest with you though it doesnt make sense to run a turbo and want to make 125whp..

It's my daily driver all year round. I wanna have fun with it at the track, but it's a **** motor and I don't wanna dump cash into it, so I'd rather have a little turbo setup with some ok power. Spending oh say....500-600$ and my own labor, how much power can I get, mind you I already have a small turbo perfect for my weak *** motor.
I'm not sure...it's a friends and it came free with a bunch of **** he bought. He doesn't know. I don't wann 200whp out of a winter car....be all over the place. Should I shoot for 150whp?
I could always tune it down for the winter...you think a SOHC ZC with no fuel upgrades could get 200whp? I'll be running soo lean I think...I don't wanna burn up my motor. I like my SOHC ZC.

even if he tunes with turbo edit hes gonna need bigger injectors and id go with a bigger fuel pump just to be safe...and if your gonna go turbo edit u need someone to socket and chip your ecu, then u'll need to tune it with a wide band.

with turbo 200 hp is pretty easy to obtain.
I might have a kit for sale. Im not sure if I want to part with it yet. The kit was a made for a dohc zc crx.
It consists of a t25, hf mani, adapter plate, homemade ic piping with dsm side mount relocated to front mount, 1g dsm bov, and an smc + for fuel management.
I want to keep the dsm injectors, but you could pick a set up easily for 50-70 bucks. I also want to keep my oil lines but I can include the water lines.

i have a sohc zc turbo in my 90 crx, i used...
-ihi rhb5 turbo(mazda 626,probe)
-hf mani w/ plate
-starion FMIC
-dsm bov
-chipped pm6 ecu
-custom piping
-open down pipe
first of all 200whp is easy to pull on 8 lbs WITH A STOCK FUEL PUMP & INJECTORS!!! there is no reason to upgrade with 200 whp. 250whp is where you need to start looking at replacing some stuff... my car is a daily driver and has started every time on 8 lbs properly tuned...

There is a guy one HMT selling a hf mani for $40 shipped right now. Post some pictures of your turbo or the specs/numbers on it so when can see what you have.
I'll snag a few pictures next time I'm out there. Also, I'm still trying to get the SOHC ZC running (broke a few sensors) so I'll be investing my cash in that. I'll slowly collect parts for turbo setup haha...I would love 200whp out of that motor. Pull some 13s haha.
13's will be easy with only 140whp, i got ran a 14.3@96mph with 6lbs or so on an fmu with a stock clutch that slipped pretty damn good, slipped enough to where i never really spun my tires unless the car/clutch was completely cold. i dynoed 131trq 126hp at 5.5lbs (greddy manifold and 15g). 130whp is fun, but tune for closer to 200 with a boost controller and just turn it down for normal driving to save a little stress on the motor.

Thats what I thought too. Two weeks later all I need is a P28, intercooler piping, and bov lol

I have a friend that used a mazda bov, custom made the i/c piping, and a rising rate fuel pressure regulator it ran a bit rich but it hauled serious ***
