Default A1 GP on OLN right now!

From Euro Speedway in Germany.

Scott Speed got taken out on the first corner of the Sprint race after qualifying in 2nd
that will put him all the way at the back for the feature race.

feature race is about to begin

Those cars are so ugly but at least they're showing some racing right now in the offseason. Is it me or are the images squished? PAL on NTSC maybe?

Either the cars are really goofy looking or the image is weird on OLN, but other than that it was fun to watch. Lots of sliding around in those things.

You should get your parents to change the TV image settings for you.

yeah it was squished for my tv too. I shouldn't have to change settings to watch it. Don't have to for anything else.

not your TV, they really are ugly little scrunched up buggers (but then you could say the same for F1 cars)

Those Lola-Zyteks are the ugliest contemporary formula cars right now. But supposedly they were designed with form over function with the purpose being that aerodynamically inefficient cars would provide closer racing.

I'm curious how the A1 cars compare to other lower formula series. They'll run Laguna Seca this March so we can compare the times to those of Atlantics and Indy Lights. I know the A1s were about 20 seconds slower a lap than F1 at Malaysia.

Appearently the Cooper tyres are hard as rocks. If the tyres were of better materials the times would drop dramatically. Look are the horrible tyre thermal temps at the different parts of the tyres in last months Racecar Engineer mag.

Here is scenic Albany Georgia, we have 240 digital cable channels.

OLN isn't one of them.
Meaning no A1 and no Hockey.

Somebody, somewhere, is a dick.

My local cable doesn't offer OLN or Speed unless you pay out the *** for them.

He did, but this race happened a couple months ago, it was Speed's last race. Herta's highest finish was 7th, and never qualified very well.
Speed had back luck with getting punted and shredding tires. In 3 races he did qualify 2nd, finish 4th, and set fastest lap once.
But he got canned after 3 races, supposedly due to lack of performance, but like I said, he did a lot better than Herta.

dont get me started on the US team politics..... Speed should be driving that car, not some over the hill IRL driver or unknown european racer.
