Crap idle
This is pretty vague, I'm sure, but for a while my DX hatch (1.5L non-vtec) has been idling badly. Basically it'll start-up with no problem and run pretty well cold, but after I get going and stop at a light or something, I'll notice that it's idling very low and rough, and (although it never has yet) sounds like its gonna stall at any moment. I notice that it misfires or something (kind of pauses for a fraction of a second with a low
oofing: noise) pretty consistently.
I've done a pretty good tune-up, replacing plugs, dist. wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter, and cleaning out throttle and intake. I checked the timing with a light... (not sure if I did it right, just shined the light onto the pulley and the lines were lined up) the timing belt has never been replaced, though. When I look at the cap and rotor now, though I can see some corrosion on the center contact which is odd after just replacing them... so maybe I should just replace these? Or should I go as far as replacing the distributor?
I've had a code 9 on it once in a while too which I'm sure is because of the idle issue, but alas.... I am a poor and busy college student and haven't had the time to remedy the problem.
Sorry for the rambling, any info would be appreciated.
