Default lsvtec help!!!

ok we have a b18a1 with a b16a2 head.everything was done right.the head is leaking from the seam from the head to the block .now some people are saying that the head bolts are not tight enough which they were tightened to b17 specs it may be wrong but not sure.just wondering what we did wrong and if any one else had the same problem.someone else sad the block might be warped.any comments would be greatly appreciated thanks all.

how is it leaking? is there just oil where the head and the block meet? where on the motor is it leaking (front, back, .....). what did you torque the headbolts to? i think they are like 64 ft/lbs. also, double check that its not a leaky valvecover gasket or something and just running down and collecting where the block meet the head. the more info you give, the more we can help

I just got done diagnosing this on my motor

It was teh vtec solenoid gasket. Check dizzy o-ring, the vtec solenoid gasket, cam seals, and finally do a compression test for the head gasket. There will be other signs if its the head gasket tho so do the other crap first.

well it could be many different problems when you blocked off the oil passege on the head is the plug comepletey flush or below the head gasket seal? If not this could be a major problem. Also check the stuff that other members have suggested.
