I cant seem to find a clear map or directions to get thers from Richmond. What I would like to do is make a three-four day weekend out of it. with over night camping, rest stops and stuff. I just dont know how to get this rolling without knowing exactly where the gap is. I have done searches here in H-T and on google. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Does 8 1/2 hours sound right from Richmond to southern part of Deals Gap? I did a mapquest search and it came up with 476 miles from my location to there. I just would like to confirm this from anyone whos done this drive.

 

Roughly sounds right.. About 5 to 5.5 from Greensboro, depending on traffic... I think.

 

Now here is the question. Is it worth it?
