Default how extreme are you?

Who's living with no AC, power steering, interior, etc? I'm trying to get a feel for how much weight everything contributes vs. livability (I'm weird, I could do without AC but I love my stereo-its the stocker though, no 12s or anything). I have searched the weight reduction threads, but no one really mentions if having no interior REALLY sucks in a daily driver..

I was down to just a drivers seat, dash and door panels. It was great. I put most of the interior back in now that its strictly a daily driver. Still have no carpet or headliner.

I haven't pulled my carpeting out yet, but I have only front seats, manual steering, no a/c, no radio, and my heating controls have no cables on the back!

i live in vegas..and i took out all my ac, all the components from under the dash, rear panels and headliner, so i'm down to dash, door panels, seats and belts..gotta have my stereo tho, theres not really enough weight to even matter when it comes to a headunit and 2 speakers..you're probly saying "you live in vegas and no a/c??" some people have to have it..and yes it is nice to get in a nice car and have your windows rolled up with ac..but i can do without..btw i havent seen any ef's with powersteering..maybe the sedans..but never seen a hatch with them

I have no A/C and no power steering. I also have no passenger side mirror. No console, just a shifter and e-brake. I do have a stereo though- but it was installed before I bought the car.

The interior weighs nothing. If you take it out on a street car, you're an idiot. I found that out the hard way.

I saved about 5x as much with installing lightweight seats instead.

I did however remove just about every part on the car that's not strictly vital to it. (except my audio, wich I installed in removable units)
Lemme tell you that that's a helluvalot of extra room under the hood. A nice lightweight battery will save you a bucketload too.

Only in japanland. My ZC came with a P/S pump if anybody wants it, but you'd need a power steering rack.

Point: US cars didnt come with it to my knowing.

I've had 89 and 90 hatches, and neither one had power steering...My daily driver has no ac, no power steering, gutted with racing seats and harnesses (had to make up for the weight that the roll bar would add) and i love it Also relocated my battery to the rear for better weight distribution...

From what ive seen, only later automatic DXs (hatch and sedan) and LX sedans had power steering. CRXs never had it here.

My last CRX, no AC, ps, stereo, nothing behind the seats except for side panels, strut bar and my battery, not even speakers because I didn't use a radio either.

This one I kept the little rear cargo thing behind the seats, and put speakers in OE locations because I will install a radio. I did remove the AS and have no PS.

I guess I'm not all that extreme The rear interior pieces stacked up may weigh 5lbs. I don't miss AC or PS because I never used it.

In america here, only autos, and 4doors had PS. As for how extreme I am. I have carpet and most of the interior. All soundeadening removed, no heat, no ac, no wipers, wiper tank, rear wiper, no antenna, no ecu cover, no ebrake, no bumper supports, no inner fenderwells, or exhaust heat sheilds, wheels that practicly hit my calipers, thats how i roll. Stripped w/o the stolen recovery look. my sunroof is next on the list, I'm cutting out the si roof, and welding in a dx/hf on in. If you really want to see weight savings check out CRX TOAD's CRXTER!!!

My std is gutted from front seats back, has no ac, ps, heat from the engine comes through my busted heater, and everytime it rains my door speakers get soaked and my hatch fills up with water...

my rear defroster dont work either, so that coupled with no passenger-side mirror makes me a very dangerous driver...
