best race suspension set up?
what i'm looking for is the best racing set up available for the 94-97 accord platform, everyone that knows anything about hondas knows that wheel hop is obviously a HUGE problem.
i have to get slicks this winter and right now i have kyb agx struts and eibach pro kit springs which i'm prolly going to be swapping for skunk2 coilovers this spring
what would be the ideal set up?
what would b ethe ideal strut setting (1-4, 1-8)?
also i'm pretty sure no one makes performace motor mounts but does anybody make any inserts?
would a energy suspension full kit help? (hyper flex kit)

if you want a full blown race set up, many people will recomend Koni Yellow shocks with custom rated GC coilover springs. in terms of tuning your current setup, its all about the individual driver, and what kind of even you are dealing with. with wheel hop, ovbiously you are concerned with launching..aka drag racing...its all just about practicng over and over again, and finding out what settings fit your driving style best.
one thing to keep in mind: stiffer settings on the dampers isnt always the best thing

thanks for the reply but what makes teh gc coilovers better than the skunk2 coilovers?
stiffer may not be better >> i launch w/ more of a preload technique than a drop/slip clutch technique so i think i'd be better off w/ a all around super stiff set up

first thing first, an autocross setup will suck if you drag your car 99 percent of the time.
What kind of RACING are you into?
if you looking for drag racing, there's different company that makes specified set up
Eibach have a drag launch system
omnipower have a drag full coilover
also get traction bar if you have problem with wheel hop
Skunk2's suspension is a flaming pile if you haven't discover yet.
well, good luck with lunching a FWD car with four stiff as hell suspension.
i never worked for me

i was talking about drag racing, sorry i didnt make that clear but i figured you would get the picture after i was talking about wheel hop and slicks.
eibach and omnipower both make drag racing suspension set ups your right, but what does that have to do w/ the accord platform? its only for civics and integras. also traction bars would help yes but cant find them for an accord either
and why do skunk2s suck so much, i thought a cheap coilover was a cheap coilover?

ive seen the springs sag, ive seen them break, ive seen the perchs get all fucked up....
general consensus is, if your going with a sleve style coilover, your best off getting GC....
