Default ls vtec new oiling system

alright i dont know if this belongs here but o well i was watching a show the other day and they took a big block(or somethin) and they ran an oil line with holes in it and attached it on the inside of the valve cover and they said it would get oil to the head better what i was thinking what if i took an oil line and ran it inside the valve cover one over each cam would it oil it better? is it posible? any ideas? id be a great idea for an ls vtec setup because people always have oil problems with them
thanks

horrible idea. they dont run it inside the valve cover. they run it to a port of the head that has an oil pressure supply. its not pressureized inside the vlave cover what so ever.

edit--- nevermind im an idiot i thought you wanted to run a fitting to the valve cover to use as an oilin pressure system for the vtec setup.

Are you talking about a V8 big block? Some V8s will use a spray bar in the valve covers to lubricate the pushrods and rockers and to keep the valve springs cool. Honda's have pretty good lubrication for the camshafts, and if you've ever seen the oil rails from the top of a VTEC head you'll know why.

Pushrod engines usually have crappy oil flow to the valvetrain. OHC engines do not have that problem.
