Well, Its Gone
Whats left of #22 is on its way to Ohio right about now. To be resurrected with a new body up there.
I can't figure out how I feel about it. On the one hand I'm sad to see it go. On the other I feel like a burden has been lifted.
I'm not sure yet, but I think it actually feels good not to own a race car for the first time this century. This feeling is probably helped by knowing that I already have a ride secured for 2006.
Anyway, watch out Ruck. The little monster is now up in your neighborhood.

When I sold my Golf a few years back, I had similar feelings. I had spent so much time and energy building it and then making it competitive that it felt like a part of the family but I also gave it so much money that it felt good in way to see it leave.
It really hit me the next season when I saw it leave pregrid for the first time knowing it was no longer mine. Got a bit choked up for a few minutes.
Enjoy driving someone elses car especially if they do the 'tween race wrenching.

Sweet, more meat!
Do you know where the guy's from?
I don't know how I'd feel about seeing one of our cars go but I think it might be happening sometime soon. I did have to take my original ITC car off to the scrap yard though - that wasn't much fun.

The 85? What happened? I don't remember it getting hit or anything at the ARRC but I was, ahem, a little distracted, helping out such as I could with two teams.

No, my original ITC car was another '85 Civic (we started out with two ITC '85 Civic's in 2000). I rolled and completely destroyed mine in June of 2001 - I only had it for about a year.

And thanks for giving me that place to race in 2006.
That has made the whole thing about 99.999% easier to deal with.

No problem at all. I'm glad I've got a bucket to offer you seat in for ECR's
