Default good motor

hey i have had my ZC for about 2 years now and it is a good little motor, good potential and is an all around nice engine. It revs high and after like 3500-4200, it comes alive.......i posted a best of a 15 flat on regular tires and the motor was totally stock....other than obvious boltons, but no cams or porting or anything done to the fuel and electrical system........i can peg the speedometer on my civic with ease too....i like this motor but i want to move on into something Vtec motivated....something i can tune and control a little better.....hope that helps

Just get a b16. You will spend alot of money.(oh yeah the amout that you are thinking add about 800 to it for extra ****.) You will do alot of work.(oh yeah the man hours you are thinking and the downtime of your car-DOUBLE IT.) But in the end it will all be worth it when you run your 14.99. I am not hating on the b16 swap, I just finished one. Just remember the ease of putting the zc in your car, the fact that you can have a/c if you want, and the price. I love my b16, but if I looked at how much money I spent on my car, sometimes it is not worth it. The vibration, the prices of a/c with the swap, the chopping and cutting and hammering you have to do to your car, and the rigs, all part of saying it was not worth it. Something you need to think about. I don't mean to sound like I am hating on the b16, but that is a little taste of reality.

just my input

I can feel you 4g. Im in the middle of my b18b swap and its alot more hassle than expected. I had everything in line...and its going into week 3...granted im only working on it on the weekends. My advice to anyone is this...save your money..get what you really want. Dont settle for a b16 if thats not what you 'really' want...if you want a gsr..wait for it. Waiting is a great tool when it comes to figuring out exactally what you want also.
