Default Wheel weight

Does anyone know what the ball park weight of a 14" 88 CRX Si alloy wheel is, also how much would a 14" steel rim weigh?

Trying to discern whether its worthwhile buying a set of lightweight wheels or just getting a second set of alloy/steel wheels.

Thanks guys.

Hrm...

Is it worth spending around $200 (used wheels) to save about 30 lbs. *thinking* Or I could get some 90-93 Miata wheels, those are around 12.5 lbs. (Those are also 4x100 if I am not mistaken?)

But that'll keep on the jackstands longer.

That is definately an option, if I can find a set under $150.

Yes it does, I have to tell my other personality that buying the car was part of a long term expense and not part of next year's budget.

I got a set of VX wheels for my daily civic. 9 lbs a rim. With tire it's around 25lbs. Sooooo light! 13 inch too, so stock looking. I paid 200$ for them with good tires too.

Can't do 13s, the 88 Si came stock with 14s and I gotta stick with 14s to remain in GS.

You could get those old Miata wheels. I had a set when I had my EG. The wheel centers have to be drilled out though to fit the Honda hub.

Well apparently the 88 has 14x5s, the cheapest 14x5 aftermarket light weights I can find are around $120 a piece. I thought it was 14x5.5 which would have made life so much easy and simple.

What are some other light weight OEM 14x5s, that list didn't include too many OEM rims.
