S2K Back To type R?
I owned a type r previous to my s2k and as much as i drive my car i feel like i need more space " 6'2" " 400 miles a week... anyone that owned a r what are your thoughts of swithching back... i have a deal on a 01' R right now just curious some thoughts of you foo;s
**** i have driven both and love them but u know ur tall and if u need the room get the R but the s2k is less of a theft target. but its ur money and u have to drive it in the end so u make the final call
if you want a type r you should buy mine, great car, excellent shape, many new parts, and great price(shameless plug) check sig
but forreal it does make sense, the r has much more room for the driver and just all around room, damn iv seen couches in the back of an r
but it seems like you need the room, and travel a good bit, so it seems like a smart decision to me

I'd love to get back into an R. But if I were to buy one again, it'd be just for a track car. Too many ricers that keep you from enjoying the car as a daily driver.
Since I also needed a daily driver, I just bought a cheap beater. Look into buying a Civic or in my case, an E30 325is. It's still fun to drive.
If there is no room for a second car, the R is definately a good all-around practical car, with the biggest downfall being theft. If you can live with the constant paranoia again, get the R. Good luck.

I went from a R to a S. Would I go back? Not unless I was in some financial bind or I bought it as a beater.
I am only 5'10 so height and space is not an issue for me. Ever since I have tracked the S, I couldn't go back to the R even for a track only car. Theres just so much to learn with RWD and its alot more fun. I just can't go back. My manager once said to me, "Once you go RWD, you won't go back." I have found this to be true in my case.

i had a 02 black s2k in 2002. and i totalled it.. as much as i loved the car. i told myself i would buy another one some day... i bought a 01 itr a little bit after because it was a car that was always on my want list. had the itr for a year and a half. honestly. i had more issues of owning a type R. i had to get a daily driver. always worried about people following me home and some nights i thought i would hear noises out of paranoia. i finally sold the type R and bought a 04 silverstone. and i would have to say im so much happier. more sleep. less stress.
i wouldnt switch back, but thats my .02
