I can get it professionally done at a shop for 2500 and they'll do engine bay. 2500 is too much for just the exterior no bay. I found a guy that paints everything 2000 includeing trunk and the whole interior and engine bay. So yea nobody wants to be ripped off sorry

what the ***?...i didnt even quote a price..how can you say im ripping people off?

normally i would paint the exterior shell, all jams, and the engine bay for no more than $2k (depending on chassis)..if you want the interior painted that would be another $500(depending on chassis)

all you'd have to do is remove almost everything from the car and pay for P.D.R.(if it needs it)

if you can have everything done for "$2000" then why are you on honda-tech trying to get a deal?

i dont paint cars on the side for people anymore because of people like you...ill stick to painting friends cars and my own cars

good luck

Ok I just said 2000 is a good price for exterior and engine so wtf are you talking about? But fukn 2500 and the engine bays not even paint isn't a deal to me. I posted this because I didn't have anyone to paint my car at first but now like I said I found someone who will do the whole car for 2000 and I've seen his car which is good quality. If you read what I said you can see that I'm agree that exterior and engine for 2000 is good and I'd pay and extra 500 for the interior. I'd rather take my car to a private person because shops usually rush to get the car out. I don't understand why you got so offensive?

i know there's more people that knows how to paint cars in the chicago area in this forum.

I think 2500 for a paint job isnt really that much ive seen QUALITY paint shops charge like $3000-$4000 including bodywork which is way too much to pay.

I'm gonna have my car painted at Car Medics in Arlington Heights (847-483-9330) in the spring (the MR2 that is)

They did a full color swap on a hatch on a buddy of mines. It looked perfect up close, and that's why I'm going to them.

They do offer deal to anyone mentioning the "car club" (they are a sponsor on http://www.jgtca.com, a AWD/RWD site)

thank you that is the only reason why i get angry people always try to low ball paintjobs. It takes alot of work and if you want it to look good then you have to pay for it.

it's hard to say without seeing the car, the condition it's in, if it's a full color change, etc etc.

i'd imagine in the 2500-3000 for a full same color paint job, but don't quote me on that.

Eddie the owner and painter has been in the business for 25+ years, he knows his stuff and he stands behind his work.

There are few people I trust with paint (I'm a detailer on the side) and I trust Eddie and Car Medics 100% after being in their shop and seeing them work.
