Momo Shift knobs - screws based installation any good? or will they fall off after use
im thinking about the momo combat evo with carbon fiber accent.
but the problem is, the installation uses a couple of screws instead of the oem style screw-in.
yay or nay?

I've had the horizontal screw types...don't shift hard and it MIGHT be ok, but mine fell apart within weeks
I had one when I first got my car.....the Momo sucked. I switched to a Levoc trigger **** that slid all the way down the shifter, great feel since you grip the shifter lower and have used it ever since.

I have the same shift **** on my car the best thing to do is find out exactly where you want your **** to sit and drill a pilot hole (not all the way thru your shifter!!!!) this is for the set screws to set in place then you never have to worrie about it moving shift as hard as you can! Have fun

no get one that screws on the the threads. you will like it much better and it will always be tight.
I had a momo for years, it had 3 set screws. I worked fin. SOmetimes it would come loose, but i allways had the allen key with me so i could tighten it back up. I would say about every 6monthes i had to tighten it. Mine sat low enough that the set screws did not hurt the threads
I got the 440gram Skunk2 ****. That **** is great! Never comes loose, and makes the shift feel great, do to its extreme heavyness. Not to mention it looks great, and feels great in your hand.
most screw on ***** will fit nicely on the teg, just make sure it deosn't have the plastic piece for the threads because they tend to crack if you screw it on too low or too tightly.
