Default Gude Bullfrog?

Does anyone on here have parts from gude? Just wondering if it's good or not, i know back in like 99-00 they have this all motor sohc crx that was in the 10s then all of a sudden they just disappear. I talk to bill the owner of gude and he says the ls head package is better and much faster than converting it to ls/vtec. My brother bought the ls head package but we havent install it yet just wondering if i should buy the head package for my gsr. Any comments will be great!

I have their AICS07 Stg.3 LS cams. Haven't installed them yet (waiting to complete my head build-up), but I heard they're pretty good.

so u have there parts on your car at one point? Or are u just speaking from what u heard from other people? I've heard some good and bad things about gude that's why i want to hear from people who actually have gude parts on there car. Bill claims that their ls head package is better than going ls/vtec and is faster too. He sent me a email from previous customer's and they also said that the ls head package is very good and worth the money.

yeah, but if you compare b-series gains to k-series gains w/ same package you'd be disappointed w/ the b-series.

I have a Gude head package with a Gude Gorilla cam. Its honestly one of the most aggresive cams period for the d-series. Incredible power with this cam. Headwork is good too. He is VERY difficult to deal with though.

I baught a Gude bored t/b for my b16 back in `02 and it was completley worthless, straight from Bill himself. He wouldn't warrenty it and the butterfly on it was completley too small. A complete waste.

I have seen a lot of bad first hand accounts with Gude stuff on here. You can probably find them, if the search function is working right now lol.

We recently did a motor build (h23) for a customer who was using a complete Gude Head setup with manifold too. Every bit of the setup was crap. He charged over 700 for a shitty stock manifold with terrible modifications and no vacuum ports, or holes or anything. The head was one he had so there was no downtime for the customer. It had 4 stripped bolt hole and when confronted about it, he blamed it on us (the shop doing the assembly) saying that it was 100% fine when it left. Then he finally agreed to send it back and insert the threads. well when we get it back, all he did was put longer bolts in the holes and call it a day. the head work was crap. motor has not been in for tuning yet. We will see if it was worth the hassle/money

Wow! This brings me back. I remember days when Gude stuff was considered tops for all-motor guys. I ran some of his stuff for a while.. Here's my take on it. The ECU's were programmed way too rich. Not too sure if he was trying to compensate for altitude, high compression pistons, or what, but my CRX puffed black smoke at idle ( back in the days, the sign of a Gude package). I eventually ran a Gude head, and while seat of the pants felt faster, no real gains were seen in 1/4 mile times or mph. The best 1/4 mile time I ran with the entire Gude headpackage was 14.21@100mph.
