Default D15B7 into 88 HF.

Im putting a 95 D15B7 into a 88 HF for winter use and was wondering a few things.
1.Which ecu would work best with that motor? (I have a 90 Si ecu.)
2.Would I have to switch distributers for one of an older D15 or D16?
3.Would the D15B7 match up with the 90 Si tranny without switching the clutch or flywheel?
Any help is greatly appriciated!

i odnt know for sure about the ecu, but my best guess is that teh si one will work, as long as the engien isnt vtec, you would have to switch distributors, and once again i believe the d16a6 one will work becasue its OBD-0, adn the tranny will fit, dseries trannies are all the same, the drive spindel is the thing that is different, i hope this helps

One other thing I was wondering...Would a '00 D16's headers work on my '95 D15?

Im just finishing up my D15B7 into my 89 Si hatch. Be sure to use ur clutch and flywheel for ur tranny, which would be your ef one. I used the eg one and wasnt able to disengage it from 1st gear. I also used my cable ef Si tranny w/ this swap.

Yes all D-series headers work.

Convert to obd1 and use the p05 or p06 or whichever it is or chip a pm6 to run the b7 maps.

i would leave it obd0 cause it will be cheaper. all youll need is a pm6 obd0 si dizzy and a single wire o2 sensor and some minor wireing. very easy. a b7 is almost identical to the a6.

put a b7 in my 89 hf it easy. On the b7 just use your stock hf/si dizzy and use a pm6 to run it works great only issue is that on 88-91 blocks the thermo sensor is on the back of the block and on the b7 its on the water neck where the thermostat is but rywire sells a adaptor. Good Luck

add an 89-91 d16a6 cam and a 96-00 d16 cam gear and she will be a little quicker than a normal d16a6

so if i put the D16 camshaft and newer D16 cam gear into my D15B7 it'll make it quicker? cause before i pulled the motor out of the 95 civic, i was beating 90-91Crx Sis... (ones with the same amount of aftermarket parts as me of course.)

Yes, and you actually make power past 5500rpm instead of just dropping off..

Besides the distributor,O2 sensor
and thermo-sensor for the fan, everything else will plug in..

The Coolant Temperature Sensor,
sending unit for the temperature gauge and the
sending unit for the oil light are the same..
