In a pinch, they can be, but they really shouldn't be reused.

I've resued them a lot of times, if they're f-ed up, they aren't usable, how about that.

I agree, head bolts stretch and even if you torque them down to spec they wont fasten like they are supposed to. Although the OEM honda manual doesnt say a single thing about changing the headbolts, any mechanic will tell you that they should be changed.
Id just go out and but a set of ARP head studs instead of the OEM honda bolts

They stretch when they're torqued down again? Hmm, I didn't know that.

Well lucky me, I splurged and got some ARP studs for my rebuild.

EDIT: So umm....anyone want to buy my old stretched LS headbolts?

what is the price comparison? is it somewhat in the same price range? i mean i'm not gonna squeeze nitrous, i have no plans at all on turbo, the most i will probably do is cams and valve train.

I don't know how much OEM is, but I got the ARP studs for about $160.

my local honda dealer wanted like $130-ish for OEM bolts. i figured might as well shell out the extra 30 bucks for ARP's, especially considering 11.6:1 and 9k daily
