I JSUT FINISHED A LS SWAPIN MY 89 DX....RUNNIG FINALLY...TEST DROVE AND ON WAY BACK ENGINE LIGHT....CODE 12..EGR VALVE...PROBLEM..USING 92 MOTOR I AM TOLD 92 HAD NO EGR VALVE..PROBLEM#2 USING 91 ECU WHICH IS LOOKING FOR EGR VALVE CASUING CAR TO SURGE AT IDLE..ANY WAY TO BYPASS EGR VALVE OR ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS???THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP..

 

I can't think of a way around it. I guess the 92 ls has the different plugs? I'd just try to get one of those ecu's. I'm sure you've already thought of that though. Good luck.

 

yeah the plugs are diff. since the 92 started using obd1 and my cars plugs wont match up and i wolud like to stay with the non obd or obd0..whatever you want to call it....thanks...i will try to use a 91 intake proably to have a egr valve i think those yrs 90-91 had egrs thanks though

 

I think that intake idea should work. God I hate those ODB changes....
