PR3-J00 ECU questions...
How does the PR3-J00 ECU compare with the "regular" PR3? What are the differences as far as motors they came with. The PR3-J00 supposedly came in the '92 Integra XSi. Being a '92, one would assume OBD1. It is not. This motor is running an OBD0 Dist, has the milky white electrical connectors, and the ECU has OBD0 style connectors. From reading up on PGM-FI, It seems pretty clear the program is different than a normal PR3. I was wondering if someone had a side by side comparison of the two ECUs and could share some information. Also, what engine should this ECU have come with, an B16A1 or A2? The trans was originally cable. http://b16a.honda-perf.org/prelim.html mentions it might be an A2, but with such an odd assortment of parts I was looking for more of a definitive answer.
Some other people have apparently run into this as well: https://honda-tech.com/zerothre...99385
Reason for asking? I helped a friend (CRXB16T on here) swap this motor in his CRX, and the thing is freakishly fast. (not that either of us are complaining mind you...) We havent taken it to the track yet, but it pulls MUCH harder than pretty much all B swaps into EFs that I have ever seen that havent had the motor cracked open. Nice to have the good kind of factory freak, but I'm kinda wishing I had more info on it.
As always, any help is appreciated.

a 92 Xsi is obd1, i have one in my car, it came witha cable ys1 tranny, it IS obd1 and came with a pr3 ecu, and had grey plugs, and 2nd gen style intake manifold yet still comes stamped with the 1million series #, i have seen both pr3's are you sur they are not talking about a obd1 pr3?
I'll see if I can grab a pic, I wouldn't exactly trust the connectors, as I have fund incorrect pin placement in a few places, hinting to a swapped harness, but the ECU uses OBD0 plugs, as they plugged into the HF harness with no modifications. The PR3-J51 is also mentioned as an XSi ECU for auto trans cars. This picture from PGM-FI shows OBD1 connectors though... http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/pub...p.jpg
For those that are members over there, here's a thread I found discussing it: http://forum.pgmfi.org/viewtopic.php?t=874
Is this thing some weird OBD0+1 hybird?
