OK IJSUT FINISHED MY LS SWAP INTO MY 89 DX...FINALLY RUNNIG..TEST DROVE AND ON WAY BACK ENGINE LIGHT...CODE 12..EGR VALVE..PROBLEM RUNNING 92 LS MOTOR WHICH I AM TOLD HAS NO EGR VALVE...RUNNING 91 LS ECU..SEARCHING FOR EGR VAVLE..CAUSING IDLE TO SURGE..ANY ONE KNOW OF A WAY TO BYPASS THIS PROBLEM OR ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS????THANK YOU...

 

yeah, first place to look is the "caps lock" on yr keyboard, stop screaming at us.

 

chill out i didnt mean to leave caps on i wasnt paying attention last night when i posted that....any ways any suggestions???maybe try using a 90-91 intake manifold??

 

The EGR system, as far as the ECU is concerned, is just a solenoid that would lift the actual valve and report back to the ECU. How about just getting hold of one and connecting it and letting it 'hang' somewhere in the engine bay?

 

well i called my local shop REDLINE PERFORMANCE and was told on the 90-93 integra only automatics had egr valves...so the ecu i had was a auto..causing it to search for a egr...swapped out for a friends man...ecu and it ran 10 times better and guess what no f**king engine code kick A$$..thank you for all the help..brain at hasports told me this too so i would like to thank him also..he also helped me get the car runnig last night....thank you...
