what springs? gr2s cant handle more than 1.5-2 in drop at most. punctuation helps too.

well isnt that interesting, my ride was dropped at least 2-3 inches and im on kyb's, but ride is also bumpy but the roads around my area suck, and its also a 15 year old car, so the frame and such probly isnt gonna be in the greatest shape in the world, if that has anything to do with it all lol but ya, my ride is fine, but my tires also suck *****

I bought gr2's for my crx, lowered about 3".....they only lasted a couple months before 3 out of 4 of them were totally blown.

I wouldn't recommend them if you're lowered much at all.

dont you think the two are directly related?

why dont you ppl raise your car if you are complaining about the ride.

you lower your car excessively, you dont get a good ride. simple. quit bitching and expecting anything more if you plan on dumping your car and act suprised or disappointed when your shocks are blown.

you mean having my car scraping on the ground when i am going straight isnt a good thing? but i thought it made me turn faster because if the lower center of gravity

anywho, it could be a multitude of things, perhaps the guy didnt cut the bump stops, perhaps the springs are worn, perhaps the dampers are blown, YOU PROBABLY NEED NEW BUSHINGS. etc

I have own both, KYB GR2 and KYB AGX shocks. I had the GR-2 on my LS crx with dropzone coilovers and it actually road really good I was happy. I am running AGX's on my h22 crx now on skunk2 coils and am happy also. GR-2's are good supposively to a certain point and the AGX for more extreme. AGX's are 4 way adjustable and the GR-2's arent.

Most likely your shocks may be blown, Springs usely keep there spring good.

you guys are probably going to call me dumb etc. and rightfully so, but anyways. im pretty sure my passanger side rear strut is completely blown, and the drives side is about to be. i lowered my car 2-3 inches (by heating the springs..my bad) and i can not have passangers in my car at all w/o it rubbing, unless they weigh less than 150. i was looking to buy lowering springs and struts (for now, coilovers later) and i was just wanting to know what kind to get to still be able to ride 2-3 inches lower than stock. i dont care too much about ride quality (for as cheap as possible...like $250), just dont want a 1 seater. my brother has had lowered trucks since i can remember so i got used to bouncing all over the place with every little bump. lowered trucks ride a lot shittier than lowered cars.

1) gr2's are inexpensive and you get what you pay for. they are basically aftermarket stock replacements.
2) what everyone else said

well isnt that interesting, cuz now ever since it started getting cold, i can hear this bumping noise coming from underneath my car (guessing suspension) and my steering wheel also moves like an inch back and forth on its own, a friend from class sais try balancing the tires and adjust the steering colomn. but i think im going to take it into autos class and look at it... but if the shocks are blown, how do ya tell by looking at them? and what the hell shocks would ya recommend for a 4 inch drop that doesnt cost $1,000

thats part of the purpose for dropping the car, however dropping the car 4 ******* inches acutally reduces the performance of your car

I've been rockin' the Kyb Gr2s on sprint extreme springs (3.25" drop front, 3" drop rear) for about 3 months now. No problems yet.

I have GR2's with Eibach Pro kit 1.5" drop and the handling is great (firm, precise)although I replaced all of the bushings with the es kit as well. With a modest drop (1-2") GR2's are fine, if you go lower than that inverst in an adjustable dampner such as KYB AGX.
