Default installed new tranny now car is bogging and backfiring

i installed the tranny and its the same exact tranny the car ran fine just tranny was shot, after the tranny was installed it now is boggin and backfiring, i can go 80 on the highway and go up a slope in the road and it will barley make it up the hill without flooring it, and it seems if i floor it too long it will backfire and also start to overheat if its warm out, could this be a coincidence tha the engine is shot out right after i put the tranny in? had it serviced and they could find nothing wrong, but the compression was 80,120,110,125 bu it had been 110, 125, 125, 135 six monthes ago, but it will run good for awhile after it backfires help me thanks out of options but new engine

gonna sound funny.. but check the firing order, and sequence of plug wires.
weak power especially going up hills and backfiring, sounds like the plugs are miswired. in my experience, when this happens on a 4 cylinder, its not that noticable just listening to motor idle/free rev, but the symptoms are very obvious when driving.

just a thought..

I dont think this has anything to do with your tranny. Actually, it can't. Either you took something off that you weren't supposed to, like the distributor or the plugs and wires. OR your compression reading of 80 probably has a lot to do with it....
