ok so above my morror on the incline of the window trim it has been scrunched up and gives an annoying air leak noise from the outside.

if i get a new window trim, how hard will it be for me to install a new one and what tools would i need?

i am getting a Helms manual for xmas does it address this problem?

 

I've got the same stupid problem. I guess I haven't ever noticed it any other way though.

 

bump, anybody know how to do this? i know its not gunna be very extensive but i see the new trim not going on correctly when i try this myself.

 

its pretty easy. i lowered the window, took the black plastic piece off thats is on top of the rubber near the door jamb, and yanked the rubber piece off. to install it i removed the mirror and door panel (dont have to but it makes it a lot easier). i used a lot of lube to guide the new rubber piece back in place. it should slide right in with. use lube it will help a lot. whole thing took like 30 minutes to do. no more air leak for me!!!!
