switching cluster
Whats up everyone, I am new to honda-tech and was wondering if someone can answer my question. I have a 2000 civic dx and have purchased 2000 civic si guage cluster, because dx does not come with a tach and simply because si cluster looks much cooler. Now my question is, How can I legally switch the stock cluster to the si cluster without being convicted of an odometer fraud even if the mileage is only 50-80 miles above the original mileage on the si? Thanks.
i wouldnt waste your time. i put a different cluster in my hatch that said 68,xxx when the car had about 186,xxx and i just told the guy when i sold it that the milage was off and it had like a bigillion, on the bill of sale when it wants you to put the odometer reading you can actually check a box saying the odomater reading is incorrect and then you can explain why and you just put new cluster. thats the easiest way.
