i'm gonna get a comptech SS header that was made for an LS motor. It'll fit the same on my 98 GSR except i need a shorter Cat section right? everything else bolts up am i correct?
like i could replace my cat w a shorter carsound cat made for LS/ITR and it would fit correct?

 

You need a longer cat. Everything will bolt up fine. But yeah, basically what you said is correct. LS/Type-R, 00-01 GS-R cat will make everything fit right. Or you could shorten the b pipe. I would just change to a high flow cat so you won't have any hassles in the future with exhaust systems.

 

it will bolt up but you'll need a differnt cat an maybe different catback
