Wobbly front end under heavy acceleration???

2000 civic si turbo:
Every time I get on the car pretty hard, it seems like the front wheels are gonna wobble right off the axles. The lugs are torqued correct and everything seems fine. But it didn't used to do this, and its pretty scary.
What could be causing this shaking?

Is it that easy to check for a bad wheel bearing? I can do that tomorrow and see. But I just had my wheels off and I didn't notice anything different.

I have the same problem maybe after 70 MPH and it started to shake pretty hard but I know i need an aligment and everyone is telling me that is the reason but also my car is so low that I need to lift the car before donig an aligment
so maybe u should check if you car tugs to a side...

did you check the ball joints. you might want to replace the suspion componts with aftermarket ones. the stock ones might not be able to handle the abuse as aposed to energy suspention bushings. just a thought. i mean how much extra power is there when you get on it now as compared to stock. idk
ok put the front wheels in the air lock the steering wheel and wigle the wheels from side to side to see if your ball joints are bad and or tie rod ends. when this happens does the steering wheel shimy if so how bad slite or really hard?

If you have play at the rotor/hub, its your wheel bearing. Could be a tie rod as well. I would lean more towards the axles... I know you said they are new, but that don't mean ****. Did you get Autozone remans?
There is so much **** this could be... axles, tie rods, wheel bearings, warped rotors, sticking caliper, bad bushings, loose bolts. Welcome to the wonderful world of trial and error.

the axles are NOT rebuilt. They are brand new. The rotors are fairly new Brembo's, and my driver side tie-rod is brand new from honda. I suppose it could be the wheel bearings, but what is the probability that both would go out at the same time.
I am the same guy that is having that clunking problem when I accelerate or depress/let off the clutch abrubtly. Could these two problems be related?

does the shaking go away when you are off of the throttle? if it does you have an inner cv joint going bad. it happened to my car on the dyno.

inner joints fail with increased torque. it is a fact of nature. if they are stockers and you are making good power, it can happen.
