After 11 hours of the most boring lectures I think I have ever heard, I got into my car and started home..

4.45pm and I try to get into the traffic so I can pull up the handbrake and drink my juice box.. Yes.. I love juice boxes..

10 minutes into traffic and im sitting at a traffic light, oddly enough I was thinking about todays lesson on basal skull fractures... what the HANS devcie prevents.

next second I look up and im in an ambulance.
Apparently what happened was a 19 year old girl in a silverado came around the corner, and took me out somewhere north of 30mph..

Car is totalled.. Its really bad! The medic was telling me that the I shouldnt have lived.. he was suprised.
The right front wheel was pushed back over 19" and is in the door. Car got jaws-o- lifed..

Ambulance ride was $800! I got the receipt before I left the hospital.. It has not been a good day..

The world is 1 collector car less now

Hopefully you are ok, a car can be replaced.

in South Carolina if you dont call the ambulance, then they can't make you pay for it.. You might want to look into that, or make sure you send that bill to her insurance company.

I had a gun in my glovebox.. G-d know what happens with that. I guess i should go report it out of my posession

I love those things. You weren't kidding about it being a collector car. One of the only things I'd consider replacing my ITR with.

Dayum! Glad you're OK. Did you actually black out? If so, be sure to follow the instructions they gave you. A head injury like that is not something to take lightly.

 

My right arm was dislocated from the shoulder when the door airbag deployed and twisted my body.

I have stitches in my left thigh where parts of the door skin cut into me.

It could all have been a lot worse!

I called the Fulton County PD this morning to report my gun being in the car. The guy told me I got hit by a dually.. WONDERFUL!

Havent decided if to sue.. Probably wont. Since the car had collector car insurance it was valued at a preset price... I swear if they even try lowball it Ill sue the **** out of them..

Anyways I woke up in agony.. Im going to the docter @ 11... argh.. I didnt need this right now in my life.

Crap like that scares me. I'm surrounded by H2s, Yukons, and other ridiculously oversized trucks every day on my commute. In my Miata. Makes me want to trade up to a second Volvo. There's a girl in my 'hood that drives a Cayenne Turbo - so far, it's dentless, but she's not out of high school yet.

This **** pisses me off... No kid should have a vehicle like that. They should all buy diesel volvos or Merc 300's

things like this make me realize how fragile life can be

as a person that has dislocated both shoulders, you absolutely should sue...it will be a lifelong problem.

I got rear ended by a blond girl driving some big Isuzu SUV. It was in the rain and I was in my little CRX. The damage wasnt too bad, but when a 4000 LB truck flies into an 1800 lb CRX in the rain the car will just jump forward... and it did. Unfortunately I now have a herniated disk in my upper back. Worst part is, she ran from the accident. I had to catch up to her and take her plate number down.

If you have any part of your back thats giving you trouble, get an MRI done ASAP.
