Best place to buy F20C/F22C? I got screwed on a used car...need help
I have recent threads about a compression problem, I pulled the head 2 weeks after purchase, the first cylinder is fucked. looks like something got in the cylinder and was hitting between the piston and the head, the wall has a 1/16th gash down the side of it, the piston is scarred from being hit and the combustion chamber on the head as well...
I looked at hmotorsonline, but I dont need a full swap, I just need an F20C or F22C longblock...thanks
Any help is greatly appreciated, i'm in a bind here.

Yeah, I agree. Use a Honda dealer. You are probably best off just buying a factory new long block from the dealer. It's around $2300 for the short block assembly and then around $2700 for the head assembly. (Your current head might still be salvageable). So $5000 total if you need to replace everything. But 1) it's brand new, and 2) you buy it from your local honda dealer so shipping to the dealer is included in the price and if there's any problems with the parts they can handle it.

yeah for real guys id like to know more about this k series swap into a S
imo the k20a is a superior motor, its much easier and less expensive to make much more power with a k series, people are making 285 whp with k24 blocks and k20 heads(motors built of course, but not severly, still below 12:0 compression and still running 93 octane)
so if this is possible id really like to know
because i will be buying an s2000 instead of an evo
id love to drive a 285 whp n/a s2k with with some 4.77's
drool omg

I dont have the picture on me, but they mated a S2000 motor with a K-series tranny, so I'm next to positive the same can be done on the converse.(K-series w/ s2k tranny)
Fitting it into a S2000 should be no trouble, given you make yourself some proper mounts.
But once its in there I'm sure you'd make some bitchin power, but getting the digital speedo to work....that i have no idea

so you're comparing the k24 build to a f20c? or even an f22c? i'm sorry...but thats just plain
inlinepro makes a 2.4 stroker kit for the f20c, why dont you take that motor w/ a 11.8 CR and compare it to a built k24 motor w/ 11.8 CR. w/ tuning, and all other factors...they power output is going to be about the same. i've seen many f20c make between 235-245 whp w/ just intake, header, exhaust, ems and tuning...i think with an extra almost half liter it can squeek out a measly 40 hp.
