I think it just plugs right into the ECU and you could hide it under your dash

all i can say is spoon :>
it only lets you adjust vtec, on the fly so you can switch it lower or higher depending on your needs..thats all
as far as install comes with a harness so its just plug and play

this is what spoon says:
In the spoon fall of 88, the development test was started simultaneously with sale by the ti Bick EF9 race/lace vehicle of V-TEC engine loading. The lap time did not extend in the actual running with the circuit vis-a-vis the EF3 of the front model and ended disappointing. Then when you try comparing and examining the section time of lap straight being fast, being slow with the tight corner is ascertained. Revolution becoming low with the corner, it produced the equipment and material which enters into the high cam urgently and tested. When with the circuit the change point to the high cam freely variable it is important to do, being to obtain conclusion, it does. In this way, following February of 90, you challenge the city “ˆ to debut race/lace with the EF9 and win with pole to Wien. In addition e.g., this year, it acquires also the series champion with numerous victory with the race/lace which participated, the legend whose ti Bick is fast with race/lace this time became firm. After that being to become the fixed turn product of the V-TEC it does. But as for ƒCƒ“ƒeƒOƒ‰ R and EK ti Bick it meaning that V-TEC control function is programmed in the manufacturer genuine ECU the V ƒRƒ“ is unnecessary.

to translate from engrish:
it lets you freely adjust your vtec crossover point such that you can stay on the high cam in circuit races that have corners that are very tight.
oh and some dude won a lot of races with it...

Plug and play. For the EF's it comes with a very concealed vtec controller switch. As for the harnesses and stuff its all plug and play. It costs less than most VTEC controllers such as Fields and VAFC. those are what? 200 to 300? I got mine for 150 maybe you can find it cheaper but the RT on that thing is about 600. Theres a **** on the panel that lets you control your vtec cross over point and it also adjusts the rest of the ECU to the vtec crossover point. Semi Self programmable? Preddy darn cool.

my cuz had the spoon vtec controller in his lude.. it was tight.. it gave more power than the gay fields.. just that the feilds was semi tunable.. the spoon was tight and was pretty stealth.. just plug and play.. i don't think they got it for the obd0's..

more powerful than the fields? dropping the X-over will do the same on either unit. i could make one for 15dollars at radio shack that does the exact same thing.

yeah.. can't explain it unless you've experienced it.. seriously.. i don't know.. it was faster though and that thing worked good but we wanted to at least sorta tune the fuel

is it a worthwhile mod? Well, considering price. No.

Worthwhile mod? not considering price, yes.

Get a field's vtec/fuel controller. Controls vtec engagement and allows some moderate adjustment of your fuel maps at every 1000rpm. I got mine for $225?. Check ebay.

For $150 for a vtec controller? blah. Get a chipped ECU for that much and have it set whatever you want and get more aggressive fuel maps.

the vtec controller has a self learning system to adjust to the vtec x point mapping everything out for you instead of having to self adjust it in trial and error like the fields of vafc.
