Ground Control or H&R Sport Springs with Koni Yellows?
I have done a search and read through the posts. I currently have H&R sport springs on stock shocks and just recieved my Koni adjustables today. My friend let me borrow his H&R sport springs to see how I liked them and now that I am replacing the stock shocks with Koni adjustables I thought I would get some opinions whether to keep the H&R's or go ahead and get the Ground Control Coilovers. Just looking for some feedback from other R owners. thanks
I had the ground control stuff on, and for daily driving I hated it...
but thats just my opinion. I don't think the GC setup is truly intended for daily driving anyway though, so I suppose it depends on what you are doing with the car. I replaced the GC stuff with Konis and stock springs.
I'm pretty happy with that setup but I wish the front Konis hadnt lowered the car so much.

What spring rates and shocks did you run when you had GC sleeves?
Most likely your results were caused by an improper configuration between spring rates and shock valving.
I ran 450lb front and 600lb rear springs on bilsteins with GC sleeves, sure daily driving was more harsh than stock but there wasn't any bounce or any real ill effects. It was perfectly comfortable.
As for GC going out of business.. that's news to me. Their web site doesn't seem to mention that either.

I can't remember off the top of my head what the rates were (400/600?).
I bought the stuff used.
But when I called GC and asked them about it they identified it as correct for the Integra, and he said the rates were fine too, the springs were sold to me with the rest of the stuff.
My guess is, as you seemed to indicate, an improper config.
I had the stock shocks...
I might put them back on one day (GC sleeves) and see how they are with the Konis. Is there some particular valving setup/shock that works better (for GC)?
I really like the way the car drives now, for the most part

Ok those rates (400/600) are way way too much for stock shocks. The problem with your ride quality was the valving of those stock shocks.

Go GC, the they will offer you more flexibility down the road and provide you with a true performance improvement when mated with proper rates for OTS Yellows, and the Yellows can be revalved down the road and or set up to be adjustable for the rear as well.
You can't go wrong with GC/Koni combo. Just research before you decide on rates. You can even contact user CRXLee for further Koni assistance.

Thanks for all the information. I ordered the shocks from ProStreetonline.com but where online can I order the Ground controls with the custom spring rates? I am looking for a setup that won't beat me to death on the street but can be adjusted for some autocross events in the future.

The OTS rates are ~380/250 ish... Unless the guy you bought the setup specified the much higher rates. Either way anything aftermarket IMO on the stock shocks is kinda going the cheap route.

How much difference would you say the ride is compared to stock? How long have you been running this setup and do you track your car or is it mostly daily driven?

For autox Id go with a stiffer in the rear setup, something moderate like 350/450ish.
