Default which tranny for boost?

a buddy of mine wants to trade his ls tranny for my b16 tranny. I just wanted some opinions, which tranny would be more ideal for boost? the turbo is almost done so i think i am going to see how it runs on the stock tranny for a while. Any comments for the long run.

Nicer than the b16 tranny cause of the Lsd but the gearings are about the same.

You can get an LSD for your B16 tranny.

FWIW, there is a member on H-T who ran 11.6 with a turbo b16 hatch and slicks with no LSD.

Stock engine, drag turbo kit, slicks.

what kind of motor is this for? b16, gsr or ls? if b16 then stay with the b16 trans.

damn this same exact thread was made a couple of days ago, every one choose GSR or u can do mix match, b16 with a LS or GSR 5th, b16 trannys run out of gear to quick, you'll most likely be finishing the 1/4 in 5th gear, and for ppl that are running a **** load of boost they go LS, there just isn't enough gearing in the b16 trannys, yeah they have quicker acceleration, but gearing is too short. b16 trans and type r trans are way better for all motor ppl, try busting a search, there any ALOT of threads on this debate

this one was just a couple of topics down from yours, so u know its been covered
