tranny grind
depends what tranny your running. if its a d series tranny then i would just get a "new" one. d series trannies can be had for pretty cheap. i sold one for a bill.

Yeah it will bolt up but that's a hyrdo tranny..Its a pain to convert to hydro and not worth it with d-series trannys,,especially a cx tranny....
Try to find a 88-91 dx,si tranny..

It sounds to me like the synchro for that particular gear has been bad for some time. When this happens, the repeated grinding of the gear tends to wear out the slider and the external spline on the gear it mates with. This causes the transmission to pop out of that particular gear. It sounds like time to either replace the gear/synchro/slider or the transmission.
