Default 24.5 /13/8 going to be too big? i searched..

I make 220whp/145tq all motor. the tranny is a itr with 4.9fd. I need to know if i will be able to get away running these slicks? Its for this Sat at Fontana and i will be limited to only couple runs cuase of soo many cars there. Let me know , thanks

i made more power but i used a 4.4 fd itr....11.66

i think they are too big. i ran 23s in 04, 24.5s in 05 and im going back to 23s next year. i run ITR gearing w/JDM FD.
04 i ran 11.62@115
05 i ran 11.77@113 w/similar 60's.

you'd be perfectly fine....howard at RLZ ran the same with 7whp more than you..and did great with them.

ok, i will give them a try, how much psi should i start them at? its either these or 225-50-15 bfgs...and i want to 60ft very well...

i agree with bob. Run 10PSI on the slicks and work them down to 8PSI, good luck and have fun at the track

start somewhere between 12-15 and work down(like rhd said) Try to be scientific about your slick pressure and launch technique. spend 20 passes experimenting until you find what works really well. (rpm, clutch engagement, slick pressure, burnout size/length, etc.)

24.5 is fine. my expierence, i've ran 230whp on 22 and did better than 250whp on 24.5.
