Default 4-1 OR 4-2-1 Headers on LS motor??

I heard that 4-1 headers are made for V-TEC motors only?
I just want to know which headers will work best for me?
just wanted to know from people who has done 421 or 41 on their LS.

Exhaust manifolds all have the same bolt design for all b series motors, so a vtec header will work on a non vtec head and vise versa. The difference in the fitment issue comes down to the length of the header itself. All gen 3 integras have the same length header, with the exception of the 94-99 gsr, which is shorter by about 6 inches.

Generally, your typical budget dc sports type header, a 4-1 is designed for top end, while the 4-2-1 is designed for mid range. There's much more important issues though, such as collector size. There are many designs out there. Do some serious research before you waste $300 on a 421 w/ a 2" collector only to realize next year that you need something bigger to compensate with more mods. Do some searching in the "all motor" forum, they are header guru's there.

first off it header we do dont have 2 so it doesnt need to be plural. 4-1 headers are most for adding top-mid end power, and 4-2-1 low to mid power. i myself have a 4-2-1 header on my car.

Everyone here should listen to this guy instead of just saying things like "4-2-1 is the way to go" etc. Nobody here knows the final goal/budget of the original poster.

except for the fact that dc doesnt make any power, why waste your money on something that doesnt really do anything. if you cant afford a good header why buy one? do it right the first time and that way you wont have to spend more money to re-do it later on

Well yeah. I'm not a fan of DC either. I did, however hear good things about their JDM 4-1 header with the 2.5 inch collector. I'm not too much of an all motor person, so I haven't looked into it much.

i actually did some research on it and it makes the same exacxt power as a jdm ITR 4-1 header, which was very very minimal. my advice? buy a good one the first time. i.e. smsp, rmf, spoon, toda etc. one that actually wil make power

Anyone think those Hytech replicas that a few people are selling on the sponsors marketplace will do any good like the real Hytechs?
