Default roll cage regulations

i bought my car with a cage. its not a great one but im trying to find out if whats in there now is within spec for something like NOPI Drag series. What size bars is the minimum to be used, what are the rules for the cage moint points, etc. anybody have good pics, links to the different regulations, this is mainly for NOPI DRAG RACING ASSOCIATION racing. I dont know if their specs are similar to NHRA, im guessing so. any help is apprecatied, need to figure this out before next season which starts in april.

NO rulebook is out forNEXT year yet!! A regular 8 point cage will work for you. The one you have right now wont pass tech!!

well i want to go ahead and buy the peices for a 6 point to get that out of the way. how much do the peices usually run? im also wondering about the base plates, some sites say you need the base plates where the bars weld, bolted down as well as welded down.

You can buy a roll cage at Barnett in downtown Atl for like 180 i think.its a 8 point cage. Yes you have to weld the plates on the car also, and weld the cage too those plates. its a pain in the ***,but that is what NDRA requires!!

The cage will look like this after install

are the cages for CIVIC, or are they generic car or what?

i knew barnett had the stuff.

i know you have to weld the cage to the plates and the plates to the floor, but do you have to bolt the plates to the floor as well.

i need one more thing clarified. I really dont want to weld the mounting plates for my cage that go in the front floor boards for my side bars. I read that you can bolt them down with backing plates on the bottom as well and not weld the plates. Can i do this?
