06 Si MSRP release.
Under 20k as promised. The navi version isn't too bad either.

its a good deal but i think the stealerships are gonna tack on some rediculous market value adjust and inflate the price. Might as well get a rsx. lol

I would never ever pay dealer markup for a car. People already have deposits on 06 Si's and have agreed to pay MSRP.
Even if the Si cost the same price as the RSX-s, I would still buy the 06 Si. It's a better car in my book.

The info is from the Honda Interactive Network. It's basically information that is meant for dealers only. You wont find anything yet official from Honda PR with respect to the 06Si pricing.

Very nice. I saw this earlier today on ToV. Good prices IMO (if indeed they are the correct MSRP). Dealer markup will suck for those who wont wait till later to get one.
Cant wait for a test drive as well.

I saw that when I logged in at work today on IN. Its very tempting to get one with Navi when we get one here. I cant wait to drive to so I can decide.

I've had a deposit on one for a month now and when it comes in I'll get it for MSRP. I think it would be very hard for a dealer to markup a Civic. Its not a Corvette or anything.

Expect a dealer markup of 1.5K or more until they can get more than 2-3 Si's delivered per month.

Since you had a deposit you might be getting it for MSRP which would be awsome. The markup (if any) will also be dealer dependent too so this markup I imagine will vary from place to place. Dont get me wrong, I am thinking there will be markup but I am hopeing for those who are getting an FG2's sake that they can get them for MSRP.
I cant wait to see pics and hear peoples opinions of these things so when ya get your be sure to post up about it!
As far as the Civic and Corevette thing yes they are very different but I would think (dont know for sure) that the amount of markup (if any) would have more to do with the "hype" surrounding the car. The whole supply and demand thing so just because its a Civic doesnt mean they cant charge more for it than MSRP.

I can get employee discount on them and the dealership I can get it from is saying they are trying to mark them up 2-3k. Mainly because they aren't getting that many to begin with. I'm going to wait until the hype dies down and get one at employee cost.
When the 1999 Civic Si came out, people were paying $1000 or more over MSRP because it was cheaper than buying an EX and doing an engine swap or upgrade to get 160hp.
When I bought my 1999 Civic Si I paid full MSRP because the dealer would not budge. BUT, I had previously been looking at a Preludes with 50k miles for the SAME PRICE. So from that perspective, the 99 Civic Si was a bargain. It was a no brainer.
Here too, you are getting same engine and tranny as the RSX Type S, LSD, optional navi for less than you could get it installed in an RSX, and for several thousand dollars less. I suspect it will be tough to get dealers to go below MSRP because it is a good deal compared to the RSX-S.
Edmund's Inside Line review said "First Impressions: Suddenly, the Acura RSX Type-S is horribly overpriced.". They also give some differences between the two:
Civic Si 197 hp at 7,800 rpm 139 ft-lb at 6,200 rpm
R S X S 201 hp at 7,800 rpm 140 lb-ft at 7,000 rpm
Interesting that max hp is at the same rpm but max torque is at a lower rpm on the Si. They also mention that both use the same transmission but that "the Si's version of the transmission gets a taller 6th for more relaxed highway cruising, and redesigned cones and synchros for reduced shift effort"
