metal on metal on front suspension

when i go over a small pot whole, speed bump, in and out of my drive way i have a metal on metal sqeaking sound coming from the drivers side front suspension. does anyone know what this could be? my suspension is neuspeed race springs with tokico illumina shocks. the springs are almost 8 years old and the shocks are almost 2 years old. someone please help me its so annoying.

what bushings are you talking about? i have never done anything with my suspension, i had a friend put it on while i was in school.

Could be alot of things, ball joints, tire rod ends, control arm bushings, sway bar end links, etc..
Just take the wheel off with the car in the air and check for excessive play in all the joints. THe only way to learn is try it out and ask, also get yourself a haynes/chiltons manual, it'll help a whole lot.

If your going to spend the money on a manual, then just get the helm's. Probably the best invesment you can make.

I wouldnt bother buying any other manual but the Helms!

i have the downloadable helms already. i just wanted to know what it could possible be, because i dont have alot of time to work on my car right now with school and work. thats why i was asking what it could be. thanks everyone.
