Default ls crank in b18c1

just confused about the whole ls crank and the b18c1

i have a gsr the rod baring went out


ive heard that people put b18a1 internals into a b18c1 just wondering how that works do u need to bore the block does it fit right in any help would be great also new to the site

You can use LS crank in a b18c block, and have to use the ls rod also, piston you can use either or depends how the compression you like to achived. LS crank in a b18c block with give a bigger stroke more TQ

thanks alot ur imput help out alot i just switched from a 11 sec ford hopeing to get the integra into the 11 also

but you will also loose the ability to rev as high. the LS crank isnt balanced like the GSR crank.

Which is precisely why you should have the rotating assembly balanced prior to installation.

exactly, we rev our ls crank to 10k all the time

the guy at the machine shop said that ill have a 9 to 1 compression stock everything souuld i put some ctr cams and skunk 2 intake manifold

if its on a GS-R block its more like a 11:1 compression ratio, its a longer stroke and with ls Rods and GS-R pistions i don't think the compression is going to drop at all..but i could be wrong.

The rod length difference is equal to the difference in stroke, there is no difference in piston wrist pin height. therefore compression would remain the same with the same piston. I also use a LS crank in my fully built GSR motor.
