Default Where can I get bulb condoms?

We all know the little rubber bulb covers. I know they make them in all sorts of colors, but I haven't been able to find a good source for them. I checked ebay, but I couldn't find them. I managed to adapt christmas tree light condoms to work in my cluster, but the results weren't ideal. Does anyone have a good source to buy these for cheap?

Autometer sells light bulb covers for the backlighting on their gauges, but I dont know if they fit the gauge cluster bulbs.

^ Pep boys , wall mart , kragen... I was looking for the exact same thing for my 240SX not too long ago... THey were hard to find (Most didn't have them in stock or just discontinued selling them).. I found some at Pep boys though.. I didn't get them.. I just decided to go to wal mart and buy the colored bulb and I couldn't have been more satified with the results... I've always like the red (burnt orange) gauge lights that BMW's have.. Now my S13 has it as well... You should be satified with the results with the bulbs cause they make the color more bold instead of the faint color that the covers offer.. I guess you can just put more then one cover on there though and get the same results i guess....

I think these are a lot bigger than what I need, at least it looks that way from the pics.

didn't have them.... at least the ones locally.

I know what you mean with the bold color. I had gone to yellow, and done my entire dash in yellow, but now I'm looking to go back to stock blue. Hence just wanting the bulb condoms.

I'll check with them.

I could go this route, but it's really not what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for a source to get them in bulk for cheap. Any ideas on that?

Yeah... this would definitely be the best... just find a few people changing over to the amber dash deal and snag the condoms off of their cars. I think I was only able to save like 4 condoms off of two clusters.

I can't believe no one knows a bulk source for these things. I guess I'm back to trying to make those christmas tree light condoms work. grrr.

I've got all of em from my cluster. They're sitting in a ziploc bag somewhere in my mess of parts. PM me if you want em.

I didn't like the way this turned out. I just bought amber bulbs. I did both the DIY, and the amber bulbs. The amber bulbs turned out much nicer.

sweet.

When I first changed over to the yellow dash, I was really impressed. Truth be told, it doesn't look bad, but I'm just ready to go back to stock. In terms of ease of change for the fickle personality vs $ invested, you just can't beat bulb condoms. I only had $.99 a package for 20 bulb condoms in red, yellow, blue, and green for the christmas light condoms. Not totally ideal, but it did give a nice color for a cheap price. The only problem I've encountered is that the blue doesn't look enough like stock for me.

a note for all of you amber dash people out there. When I was rebuilding my uncle's 1984 Subaru Brat, I noticed that it had an orange/amber dash. When I got it apart, I discovered that it uses orangeish bulb condoms for that. Anyone with a Subaru around for parts might want to check and see if they'd fit the bulbs in a Honda. It would be closer to what the stock amber would look like, I'd think.
