if the motor is stock you dont need it. just convert to obd1 and run a p28 and youll be fine. prolly beter than if u got the hondata

to answer your question plain and simple, no use getting that, since im sure your motor is going to be stock. Just makes sure you turn everything to OBD1 and you get your VTEC not V-Tech (unless you want a phone for boost, get boost mobile it rocks!!!) j/k.

But yea keep it obd1 and use an ECU P28, you will thank yourself later...

I did this swap on my daily CRX with a D15 too quick set up and alot of potential.....

No need for hondata on a stock d15..It's a waste of money..Like said, run a p28 and if you want something more get uberdata ,,basicaly the same thing as hondata but free..

If you get Hondata... and actually use the tuning abilities on a dyno... EVEN on a stock set up... that motor will run better than any stock P28 you plug in. IF YOU DONT PLAN ON TUNING IT... dont bother with hondata. and yes you can tune a stock motor with stock cam... trust me i pulled 20hp out of an A6 with JUST the cam gear to tune with... 2 hours on the dyno + wide band + cam gear... well worth it in my opinion.

Even before i talked to my tuner/builder about my mini me with a cam... we decided on Hondata... its better to be safe and tunable than to be sorry. Now that i'm going with a crower cam and valve train its a no brainer.

edit: with a P28 and the propper wiring, yes you still still get "vtec" lol.

i wouldnt encourage it if ur staying stock...the only reason i got it on my b16 was because i ended up doing ITB's and wrx injectors...it ends up being costly man
