Default Buying used Apex'i Power FC, Some Q's

This particular unit came off a halfcut car from Japan, and i'm going to the junkyard to test it out.

Is it just plug and play when i wanna test it out?
Things like the car can start,AC working etc....

I know that when you 1st use the PFC you need to let the car iddle fo a few mins, since this is used will i have to do that?

Anything to look out for when buying used PFC?

I'd just make sure the car starts when the Power FC is initialized.

Get the car on a dyno, initialize the Power FC, then tune it.

If you don't have a way to tune the ECU maps (Datalogit or access to Power Excel tuner) then you need to make sure the PFC has the right basemap for your engine (which in your case would be a B16B), or else it will most likely run like doo-doo

yes, you "should" still do that, but get it professionally tuned ASAP

Went and looked at the PFC and previously it was tuned for a B16B Turbo from Jpn.

Pluged it in and the car iddle like crap with CEL. Turned off the boost via the commander and the car just died.

But anyway the shop wanted too much for the PFC and also the best qualified PFC tuner closed his shop and went back to Thailand.

Next qualified tuner charges too much.
Well passed on this chance.

I dont think that is for a B-Series Honda. If you put that roots blower on a B-Series VTEC motor the writing on the casting would be upside down and I doubt C's would design a SC that gets mounted with the writing upside down. What does the intake manifold for that blower look like?

Well i ended buying the PFC and got it tuned.
The tuner used a prog called FC Pro.

All and all i am very satisfied and the car runs very smooth now. Gone are my iddling issues i had before.

I did the first 3 runs on the stock CTR ECU and to my suprise power went up each run. (Each run did 1min after the other)

Run-1 did 145hp
Run-1 did 147hp
Run-2 did 152hp

Then i the tuner plugged in the PFC and loaded a base map.

The tuner and i was very suprised that my power only started to drop after 8600rpm.
All i have is a stock B16B with Mugen head gasket and i/h/e.
