The Tanabe Hyper Medallion is pretty quiet and has a very nice tone, very unique.

stock

No matter what exhaust system you get, you can make it quiter by having a resonator added.

Stock is the quietest. If you want deep and street drivable, Greddies Street version catback for the ludes is sweet. I'm running that, no one has ever said my noise is ricey, it's loud when I gun it, like I want at the 1/4 mile, but it's not loud enough that the intake noise gets drowned out. I can always hear my motor over my exhaust, and it's so quiet at 2500-3500rpms on cruise driving.

Oh ya I have a few 1/4 mile videos and you can hear the all out flooring and how loud it really is. I got greddy header/catback with high flow cat so it's a bit louder then stock header and cat.

I had that exhaust for 2 years and it was probably the best exhaust I had.

Thermals is something you should look into, it retains that stock exhaust look...

How about obx twin loop. $100 shipped. Total saving of about $900 bucks. It does the same thing as the mugen if you don't have the money. It looks similar but not as nice as the Mugen though. With the left over $900 you can buy an expensive header and Euro-R intake manifold.

Here a picture from some other guy's posting.

Obviously stock will be the quietest, but if you want the performance from an aftermarket and still want the drive of a stock exhaust then go with the Apexi N-1. I have it on my car for 6 months now. Mine has the silencer and i love. Its a little grumbly when you really lay into it. other than that its quiet as hell, on the highway i tend to forget it is there

Although you can get a resonator for "loud exhaust", the RSR Exmag is very quiet. Personally I think I am going to go back to stock after I replaced my cherry bomb with a 'Carbon Fiber' exhaust(way too loud).

i have the apexi N1 and it is pretty quiet with the silencer in.. first decide what you want the muffler to look like and then start looking for a queit system that has the look you want.. personally, i want to sell my apex and get the new rsr with the all black muffler and just a small chrome tip..
