I installed a Zex Nitrous Kit on a 94 Integra LS (B18B1). we first put in a 55 shot. now i was wondering to put in a 75 shot why do i have to retard the timing by 4 degreez??? what does it do????

 

Retarding the timing will help fight off detonation. I say leave it retarded 2 degree's and run 93 octane!!! The B18B has a lower CR ratio than a B18C so you should be ok.

I'm still saving money for a nitrous kit for my GSR but when I had a N.O.S 50 shot on my SOHC, I had the timing retarded 2 degree's. I hated how the car felt off the bottle so I put the timing back to stock. I still squeezed with the timing at stock and did not have any problems. Must of put 10 or so bottle through the car before I sold it with no problems.
